The $500 upgrade kit pays back in avoided downtime in the first season.
Counterargument: “But I’ve Always Done It This Way”
I hear this constantly. And I respect that. Many traditional methods still work – a well-maintained old drill rig can outperform a new one if the operator knows it inside out. But the fundamentals haven’t changed: consistency, reliability, and after-sales support. What has changed is the technology that delivers those fundamentals. Five years ago, telematics were optional. Does that mean every old practice is wrong? No. Does it mean you should blindly buy the most expensive option? Absolutely not. What it means: update your evaluation criteria.
