The $50 difference between an OEM part and a knockoff from a third party can mean a $5,000 difference in repair costs if it fails.

I'm not saying you should never use a third-party supplier. I've had good luck with some. But I'm saying you should never make that decision without first consulting the Epiroc dealer locator and the parts manual. Know what the OEM spec is before you take a chance on a substitute. That's just basic risk management.

Look, I get it. I've been in the field, covered in grease, with a deadline breathing down my neck. It's tempting to just grab a part and go. But I've learned, often the hard way, that the 'high quality' of your equipment is only as good as the quality of your knowledge about it. The parts manual and the dealer network aren't bureaucratic overhead. They're the tools that keep your Epiroc gear running, shift after shift. And if you're too proud to use them, you're going to end up paying for it.
